Glenn will be hosting our annual New Year's club ride to Stanley Idaho, the week between Christmas and New Years. Stanley Idaho has an annual average snow fall of 220" in town and is at an elevation of 6400 feet. Some riding will reach elevations of 10,000 feet. Everyone can arrive and head home on their own schedule. some members will be arriving Monday December 26 and staying all week, and others may not arrive until Thursday or Friday. everyone is responsible for arranging their own transportation and lodging, however I highly encourage you to stay with us at the main lodging in town, the Mountain Village resort . they have 63 rooms from standard two queen-bed rooms, to full suites with kitchens. I recommend calling them ASAP to reserve your room. mention their winter special rates and you can get a standard two queen beds room for two nights for $129.00. you must mention the website winter rate special. Please Note: Dec 29-30 are special event nights and they do not offer the two night special for those nights. those nights are $99.00 per night.

This resort is right in the middle of town and everyone will be able to ride their sleds directly from the resort to get gas, food, and access to hundreds of miles of groomed trails. the mountain village resort has very nice rooms, . They have a great restaurant with fireplace and great food! and they have a saloon, and sporting good store, they also have a natural hot spring that is enclosed for your winter enjoyment. in addition, there is a gas station and grocery store directly across the street and you can ride your snowmobiles in and around town. there is no need to trailer your sleds anywhere. This ride is for everyone and anyone whoever wants to go. There will be family rides, as well as back country boondocking riding. The snow is supposed to be absolutely Awesome!!! it can get very cold there, which makes the snow very powdery. There is over 185 miles of groomed trails, and over 200 square miles of snowmobiling. there is going to riding for all experience levels, from flat land trail riding, to rolling open hills, to back country boondocking. There will be trail rides to another small town (Smiley creek lodge) that has food and fuel.
